Help WiFi Connection Issues?

Hi,
We have 2 Metropcs stock Esteems.
Recently we set up a wifi network, in our home. It seems to work well with our pc, and kindle.
But with the Esteems we get error messages.......from MetroPCS Easy WiFi. Login to Network-**** failed. Tap to retry 9:17pm.
Yet when we check in settings it says we are connected.
Anyone familiar with this?

Hello and welcome to the forums. I see your having a problem with the esteem wifi . Can i ask have u done a factory reset to the device and are you rooted .

The Esteems are not rooted.
Both phones have been factory reset at a Metro Corporate store, a month ago, one for the baseline update (to ZVE), the other suddenly bricked about a month after the FOTA from LG.
It took a long time to restore both to prior settings. Infact, my g/f won't do a restore to fix this present issue.
 
Ok now i see where the problem is . You say u taken it to the store to do the zve update . May i ask how many times has this been cause zve has been updated 3to 4 times . If u have a computer at home you may want to download the lg software update tool and try to see and u will be surprised to see it say your not updated . Then if you are up to date .

In the top right hand corner is a box that say options its a dropdown box inside that box has a option that say UPDATE RECOVERY . click on that option and make sure you have all drivers first . That update recovery will fix any error that the software has encounter . Yes try this out and post back .
 
I want to thank you for your time.
I tried to download LG update software. Got message saying I don't have MS MTP driver and Windows Media Format 11 Runtime.
Unfortunately, I used a third party to try and download it and had to delete all the software they installed on my old pc.

I was hoping there was an easy fix for our issue. Apparently there isn't, so we will have to live with what we have.
Of course, I was unaware of the multiple updates to the new baseline from LG. I am really disappointed with LG as well as MetroPC. (Get what you pay for!)
Constantly babysitting these smart phones, standing in line at MetroPc, being lied to at their Corporate store, as well as their independent dealers, makes me want to simplify my life and return to a dumb phone on Verizon.

I haven't been gone from this forum. I've been "lurking" since joining. Since I have no knowledge and very little experience with android smartphones, therefor nothing to contribute to this forum, I have never posted.
Thru the years I have really enjoyed being on it, and have learned a lot.

Well you don't need to live with it but you are so true about corporate stores and regular dealers . Now u can return back to metro to do the update from the tool . But this is why i downloaded the tool to keep it updated . And don't have to wait for the store
 
Tried to load the LG Install software on my g/f Vista pc. Got the same results and was unable to.
Went to Metro Pc Corporate. The man would not check the baseline version.
He looked at the name and claimed it was the latest one.
He hooked up to their WiFi and connected no problem, in fact the wifi symbol turned to green on the Esteem. It is always white on my home network.????
 
You may want to reset the WiFi router at home to repair WiFi now to download the support tool what kind of security do you have installed
 
Went into my Comcast modem/router console and changed the default firewall settings from high to medium.
I now get a green wifi icon and a few bars. Also my MJ is now working.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!!

Only issue left is that I still get the message of the failed connection attempt of easy wifi. Have noticed when its trying to work it claims to be updating the network. Have read that network is the easy wifi network.
