Wifi Connection Problems

IAPD3000

Newbie
I have brought my tablet last Saturday. Days later, I having problems with the WiFi access around my neighborhood. The network that had good signal was "TG862G222." Is that a network? All the networks that I scan were protected. I couldn't get in to the web. What should I do?

I have a 7" tablet

Model number V703

Android Version 4.0.4

Most networks will be protected - it's really not a good idea to have unsecured WiFi: in the UK, if a 3rd part used it for illegal purposes - e.g. hacking govt sites, accessing child porn - you could be prosecuted.

If you want to use WiFi while you're out and about your best bet is to go somewhere - e.g. a coffee store - that offers free WiFi.

Alternatively, some networks offer WiFi hotspots however you need to sign up and pay for access to these.
