Help Wifi connection

Azpen tablet with 4.4 KitKat system

My tablet connects to the internet through a USB PC adapter. The tablet and PC both show wifi connections are made, but none of the tablet apps will connect to the internet.
 
Try using Virtual Router or similar software on your PC to create a hot spot. The way you have it connected (ad-hoc) is not supported in Android
