Help Wifi connectivity sucks after updating - Samsung Fascinate (SGH T959P)

I got my phone last August and never really bothered updating the firmware...yesterday I updated it to 2.3.4 and now it won't connect to my router when I'm sitting in the next room. Also, my menu option when I hold the power button to turn on/off 4g is gone (and it isn't connecting to 4g at all).

What should I do to fix this? Is there a way to revert to the old firmware? My phone was never rooted...would that help me with this issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not a lot of love for these phones by the looks of it. I noticed a significant drop in connectivity after updating to 2.3.4 as well. I still have the 4G icon though. I feel your pain. Did you find a fix?
