Help wifi constantly scanning

i am connected to my home network but under wifi settings it shows that the phone continues to scan for networks. is there not a way to tell the phone enough is enough and that i am satisfied with the network i am connected to and to quit scanning?

Same here. Wonder why the latest 'los/gps' update didn't address this also as it did other 'bugs', ie--Swype smileys etc? It seems that once 'locked' on a wi-fi signal, it would quit scanning until the wi-fi signal was terminated or lost. Hmmm..
