Help WiFi disconnects during the night, doesn't autoconnect again

Hi,

My Nexus 5 automatically disconnects from my home WiFi network each night at 2am (always 2am), for no apparent reason. I don't run any apps that should do this and my battery saver mode has never been turned on.
I've also checked my router, but sleep mode/inactive hours are off.
WiFi is on all the time on both my device and my router.

In itself, this shouldn't be a problem, but after this happens, WiFi doesn't automatically reconnect. In the morning, I can connect manually without a problem. Also, at other times (like when I come home from work) WiFi does automatically connect.

This seems to be something that happens specifically on Android devices, since the same thing happens on my Galaxy Note 10.1 (running Kitkat), only at 1:30am. It then reconnects automatically, but only after 3 hours or so.

Does anyone have any idea how this can happen?

Device: Nexus 5, stock 5.1.1, rooted
Router: AVM Fritz!Box 7340, on 2.4GHz

I've had five Android devices, from three different manufacturers, and I've never experienced this issue, so I suspect it's more likely specific to your home network.

Assuming the router is configured to assign IP addresses automatically via DHCP, check the settings to see what "lease time" is being used. For a home network I'd suggest a period of at least 24hrs.

That's about all I can think of right now, other than some obscure setting in the router itself.
