I have an HTC Desire with Android 2.2 loaded and have a chronic problem with the WIFI connection to my router.
The problem is like this.
From a fresh start of the phone. WIFI is fine.
After a few hours the connection is lost. When I go to the wireless settings, this seems to trigger it to go and try and connect again and at this point it prompts me for the password.
I enter it, and it tries to connect and then fails and asks me again for the password.
This is a loop with no end.
If I restart the phone, it connects without a problem.
Have tried to change settings of data speed on the router (as advised on another post I found) this had no effect.
Tried to change the settings of the wifi sleep etc on the phone and this also had no effect on the problem.
Has anyone else got this problem?
Does anyone know if there is a fix for it?
router is a Netgear WNR1000 with FW version 1.0.1.1
