Help wifi frustration

Why wont this phone (razr) automatically switch to wifi when i get home? My OG droid did it automatically. Smart actions is no help. When i tried to set up the smart action wifi was greyed out. So WTF?

Whats makes it so frustrating is that 4g just goes out intermittently and there is no 4g/or 3g at all. But at least if my dam wifi went on automatically when im home it wouldnt be so bad.
 
try the Y5 Battery Saver app. Seems to be more accurate with locations and will switch your wifi on/off whenever you reach a saved signal. I know that's what the smart action is supposed to do, but this one actually does it.
 
If I forget to shut off WIFI when I leave, it connects right back up when I get home with no issue. I just wish I could figure out the Task Manager app that would turn it on and off in regard to my location. I always forget to shut off WIFI and have the added battery drain from searching for WIFI. At least with this phone, the drain isn't near as noticeable as it was with my DINC.

Not that this is a big help or anything, but I haven't noticed any problem switching to Wifi automatically. It seems fine on my phone.
