Help Wifi internet but through ethernet?

Is there anyway to somehow connect a device to the ethernet port on flytouch 3 (like a TV or computer) and have it use the built in wifi to connect to the internet via home router?

Tethering is the term, never tried it, but try some tethering apps from the market if you wish to find out yourself :)

Tethering shouldn't work through the Ethernet port. The only way I think it might possibly work is using a cross link cable to connect the two devices, much the way you would with old game consoles, or to play PC to PC games when you didn't have a home lan setup. The biggest problem would be to get the two different OS to talk. If the PC sees the FT I don't think a typical bridge connection would work.

I have heard of an app called connectify, but I have never used it.

I don't think you can use both the ethernet port and wifi together...wasn't there some posts about wifi not working when the ethernet port was live some time ago?

Possibly. I was just spit balling. But I think it has to do with the firmware. I had one stock that when you had ethernet plugged in the wifi icon never went away and you could see signal strength still changing. Whether or not they were still both fully active I don't know. May have to go back through and start flashing some of the spare pads I have.
