Help Wifi is on but disconnected..

Hi, i have a problem with my phone. Sometimes, i cannot connect to a wifi network even though the wifi is on. it just says wifi is disconnected even though the wifi green check-mark is on. I really don't know what to do. i even tried restarting it but it just won't work. Please help !! Thanks

but some ppl say to turn on airplane mode then turn it off and that should allow you to access your wifi..
