Help wifi issues

Sometimes I can use my tab in my room but other times I can't. Can anyone explain this? Also what does reception that is colored blue mean and what I'd reception colored white mean? Thanks guys...

Also something off topic...my tab will run slow sometimes so I will open up my task manager and end all applications and then if I press it again it will close like another 3. How can I make applications stop opening up by themselves

Depends on many factors like signal strength, WiFi or 3G model?

The signal bars are blue when you're connected to Google servers for whatever application needs access, like email. When it changes to white, that indicates the Tab is not connected to Google servers.

The Android operating system runs numerous tasks in the background while performing normal functions. It's very good at managing apps and memory and there is no need to interfere with how Android works. The Task Manager on the Tab isn't really a task killer, it simply shuts down apps that are running in the background to help with battery life if you have a very active app. I generally don't bother with the Task Manager as Andoid does a great job of handling those apps for me.

You can't and shouldn't. Android NEEDS to run some apps to perform normal functions and you should generally ignore it. Unless you're having large battery drain issues, you should just let the Tab do its thing and forget about what apps are running.

I have the wifi model...the thing is that my laptop, xbox, ps3, phone can all get internet all the time. For some reason my tab will go a week without catching internet and then all of a sudden start grabbing it for 3 days and then lose it for another 5 days then catch again...I've turned off the other devices to make sure it wasn't because too many things are on the network too. I've rread about putting in the wifi as a static I just don't know where to find the information of the IP Address and all that

Check the SSID Broadcast name of your router network. If it's a phrase, make sure there are no spaces in the name as some devices are fussy and require a simple network name:

MyWifiNetwork = works

My Wifi Network = does NOT work

Alright thank you for all your help! For some strange reason I always have wifi in my room now...weird...I want to Ask 1 more question that's off topic. When I look on YouTube and see other peoples tabs I notice the layout Is a little different. It looks like the Motorola xoom layout how honey comb first started looking. My layout is in gray and white. I was wondering if there was a way to get mine to be blue like the others. Thanks
