Help wifi keeps turning on seemingly by itself

Might i suggest that you offer alot more information about the state of your phone
Firmware version, rooted?, maybe any wifi manager or tether apps you may have.
Flashed rom ? Anything you can think of that will hekp someone help you
I only say this because there are alot of people that never had this happen but have the abilty to analyze and start ruling out possibilties untill your problem gets fixed.
 
Sorry, I was referring to the batteryguru battery-saving app from Qualcomm. It turns on wifi only long enough to scan and check for a previously-connected wifi ssid, and then turn it off. I've seen it turn off WiFi based on location, like when I drive a block away from the office.
 
My last post was incorrect, it turns it off when there's no WiFi you've previously used. In not sure about the open thing.
 
Phone is unrooted, never even use wifi and i find it on alot. I use dolphin browser with dolphin companion / battery saver. No major changes ftom stock phone. I did recieve the last software update few months back. Everything else runs fine but id like to stop this from happening/draining my battery. I LOVE THIS PHONE OTHERWISE! :smokingsomb:

If you actually turn the wifi transciever off
I woukdnt know why it turns on
Sorta lost on that one
