Wifi Login Notification

Hi,

at work I have to log in to the wifi twice, once through the normal wifi interface and then again through a browser. On my Xperia Arc the wifi would connect automatically and then I would get a notification that I needed to log in, and clicking on this notification would open a browser. I have now bought an HTC One, which doesn't show this notification. Is there any way that I can start getting this notification?

so apparently this is called WISPr and the HTC One can supposedly log in automatically. Still not sure why it wasn't giving the notification though.
