WIFI ONLY CALLS APP - no cell connection required!

We need a way to make calls on our phones when the only thing in range is a wireless network (no cell towers, etc) ...this happens all the time!

the second there is an app for this on android, we NEED TO KNOW.

line2 for iphone does it...

There are many SIP based programs which will allow you to setup your SIP information from your VOIP service.

Fring is a good one. If you don't have a SIP provider, you can use Skype via Fring to then make calls/receive.

skype for android requires a cell connection last time i checked...which is self defeating...
and SIP based programs are too difficult to install for the tech-averse.

it really NEEDS to be this easy:
1) go to market
2) download app
3) make wifi-only calls immediately thereafter

are there any apps for android you know like this? if so, mention them by name please.

to use the Skype app (on verizon) US calls use your minutes, not the data plan, so having skype on the phone is pointless

new Skype Doesn't work with wifi. .. wtf? no wifi, can't make us calls, wtf is the point?!

I tried making Skype calls with fring today, I have Skype credit, wouldn't work
