Help WiFi or 3G Internet Access?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but here goes.

When I'm home and connected to my WiFi, will my internet access use the mobile network, or WiFi?

Does WiFi take priority?

if you are defo connected to your wifi then it SHOULD take priority... my fiancee barely used 20mb of her 500mb allowance last month cos she always has the wifi connected when using the internet!

This is just a suggestion like what my network provider told me to do, unmark the Use packet data or just long press the power button and deactivate data network mode, then connect your wifi. Just activate the data network mode again if you’re not in wifi area. This is 100% sure that you are using wifi and not the mobile network.

i can't connect to wifi with my galaxy w since yesterday, the phone is showing "optaining ip..." repeatedly but fail to get connected. what has possible when wrong? please help. Thanks
