Help WiFi Problem

fis35295

Lurker
I have been trying to sign my phone into the wireless network here at home. I have a password on the router that has eight digits. Capitals, small letters, and numbers.
The message I get when I try to sign it on is " Authentication problem. Can anyone tell me why this is going on? :-)

Is the router using WEP encryption? If so, many modern devices won't connect to WEP networks, as WEP is completely insecure and deprecated. Change the router to WPA or WPA2, if it is WEP.

First, thank you for your help. The network here is set to WPA and WPA2. Does the software on the phone for the wifi require only small letters or just capitals not the combination. Maybe to many digits, or maybe not enough.
