Help Wifi Problem

Hey guys,
The other day I set up my wireless router and wifi network. Everything was working and I tried to connect my xperia to the network at it worked!

I decided to move the router downstairs and when I set it up again for some reason my xperia could not connect to it nor even find it no matter how close I put the phone towards the router. But my computer upstairs was still able to connect to the network and so was my brothers iPhone and my ipod touch. So I'm a little confused.

Any ideas or help would be great!
 
I've had this happen too. Try turning your WIFI off (Settings->Wireless Controls->Wi-Fi), wait about five seconds, then turn it on again. See if it then reconnects. If not, try turning off your phone then on again after 10-15 seconds.

For such scenarios (and others) it's a good idea to keep a WIFI on/off toggle on your home screen. They're available on the market, and I think some are free.
 
I tried what you said to do, but alas my Xperia was still unable to find nor connect to my network. Yet all my other devices were able to.
 
Ok don't shoot me but sometimes the simple stuff works, have you tried deleting/forgetting the entry in Wifo for your home network (long press on network name) and then reboot the phone and scan again. Will it find it as a new network?
 
I tried what you suggested @rosered but I still could not find my network but managed to find alot more networks from my neighbors

Lol not overly useful then, unless they are willing to give you their network key! But it does narrow it down to your router settings imho. We had to change something on the router settings on our PC so my netbook could find it. We had to go into the http:// and change the channel I think.

I hope someone else can give you the help that you need.

I updated the firmware on the router and now my Xperia has managed to find the network! Thanks anyways guys for the suggestions and ideas provided!
