Help Wifi problems and answering lag

Hi there,

I have recently purchased the s5 after having the s3 for a couple years. It is virtually stock as it came from the manufacturer and I am experiencing problems when connected via Wifi. It crashes then reconnects after a short delay. The modem/router I use is right next to me when this happens as well. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this?

Also, I have had issues when answering calls. I have actually missed a call because the swipe didn't respond. The phone sensitivity is really high already but when someone rings it takes a lot for it to pick up.

Hi,

I heard about the S5's new "Air Gesture" feature. Maybe that is the problem? The phone could be too sensitive right now. Is there a way for you to disable it and see if it makes any difference?

I have Motion Gestures and Air View both turned off: Swipe is not reliable enough

Program the 'Home Button' to answer the phone.

Settings/Accessibility/Call Settings/Answering and ending calls/check box Home Key


Don't check the Power Key box, you won't like that...

Oh yeah, I am ashamed it took me so long to get the S5

This phone has made my life a lot easier... the old one was so slow and it would lock up if you gave it too many apps to run w/o clearing ram memory first. No more, this one just goes and goes and 'where is that bunny rabbit' ?

Haha, but if there is a work around, it is as good as working properly. Thank God for Forums!
