Wifi problems

I just got an 7" android 4.0 google tablet and I was trying to connect to my wifi. So I put in the password for my wifi and then it said authenticating and after a while of authenticating it said authentication problem. I did this a couple times and it kept happening. And I made sure my password was right. Also it said I had security as WPA/WPA2 PSK. So I don't know what that means. But I can't connect to my wifi! Please help!

Sorry that you are having issues with your wifi for your tablet
Have you tried resetting your router at all? Can other devices connect to the same wifi?
Do you know the exact name of your device so we can help point you in the right direction?

I haven't tried resetting my router. and yes all other devices work with my wifi. I don't really know the exact name of my android tablet though. It says it is android version 4.1.1 and that the model number is SoftwinerEvb so thats all I know.
