When you have wifi turned on on the Motoroloa Droid, how do you know for sure that you using the wifi connection and not just your Verizon data connection?

The 3G icon in your notification bar will be replaced with the WiFi icon, which looks like little radio waves.

Thanks! So, it automatically switches to wifi if you are within range of one?

If you need login credentials (WEP or WPA) for your home network, it will log you in automatically after you sign in the first time. When you're out and about, it will let you know if WiFi networks are available. I have often skimmed off other networks with their default "admin" password LOL
