WIFI question

I have been trying to connect my Galaxy S2 to my WIFI network. It says I am connected, but certain functions will not work on WIFI. Facebook, Pandora, Skype, and MMS messaging will not work on WIFI. None of these applications will load - they all give me a "network error" after trying for several minutes. All other apps and browser seem to be working.

When I switch to 3G they work fine. Also, I have tried two other wireless networks and everything works perfectly. This makes me believe it is something in the router, modem, or ISP settings.

Try to remove the wifi and connect to it again once it say connected power off the device count to 25 and power up and it should work . The radio ant. Is hot to many connection .

If that doesn't fix goto the market and download a app called wifix manager . It works the best i didn't create but i would give the dev mad props for his work and would watch you do to .

Can you access these FB, Pandora and Skype from a PC (I don't think MMS that will ever work over WiFi)?

Just wondering if they've been blocked by the firewall on your WiFi network - they're exactly the sort of thing that would be blocked on any office network.

Have you tried resetting the router yet?

Or performing a battery reset on the device by removing the battery leaving it out for a bit then putting it back in and restarting the device?

You may have set something when you were first customizing your phone (e.g. you setdata limits for WiFi). You may always want to reset your phone or restore factory settings.

After many hours of troubleshooting I figured it out!

It turned out to be a network issue. In the configuration screen for the router there is a section for PPOe settings for the ISP. Once I put in that specific information everything worked perfectly. Not sure why or how, but I'm a happy camper :) Even MMS over wifi works now...I've read that a lot of people have problems with this.

Thanks to everyone for your input.
