Help wifi questions

hey im wondering if anyone has had the problem when your using wifi and you put the phone on standby when you turn it back on it shows wifi is off and the 3g is in use it only last for a min or so

When you put the phone on standby it turns off WiFi to save battery, you can stop this by going into wireless controls/ WiFi settings / advance / WiFi sleep policy
