wifi showing disconnected

guys,

I have problem, the problem is that my android mobiles detects my wifi connection but at times it is not able to connect to it. It ends up saying disconnected, but most of the times it gets connected automatically. If it doesnt connect I have to restart my router or wait for sometime to again connect it. I have noticed this problem on all of my android devices(sony experia x8, HTC Wildfire S & samsung galaxy tab) which means the problem occurs of almost all of android os(2.2 , 2.3 and 4). Another important thing i wish to point out is that the DISCONNECTED msg comes up on all my android devices at the same time but strangely my Ipod touch connects to the same wifi network during those times. Where could the problem lie?

Regards
Abhinav

I have encountered the same issue at my university several times. While my ipod touch can connect to the same network. I think its something with android. I just turn wifi on and of until it works. I don't know any other sollution.

wifi routers often need turned on and off, if you use a cell phone for wifi you will see how it never drops out. cell phone are just smarter, routers are not.

its not android

if the problem is with my router then why is my apple Ipod touch connecting to the same router when all my android devices doesnt?

cause apple is less secure/picky about the connection it gets. some think that means its better, its not.

have to restart my GF router often for wifi, but when I use my android cell to give wifi to my other android devices, it never drops, even if I take the phone out of range and come back, it will auto find in a split sec.

its 100% normal

I completely agree with 350X, it is the router, sometimes a router can get bogged down if too many people are connected to it at once, causing it to overheat and such.

This could be your issue, it might just be a bad router, it isn't android :)

Hope this helps
