WIFI software kind of sucks.

Is it just me or does the Wifi manager in Android really sort of suck? I do IT for a large university; therefore, I encounter a lot of different wireless networks. It would be nice to be able to organize my proffered networks and switch networks a lot easier.

However, Android is the only PDA software that can handle the certificate handling that our Open network requires to log in.

You could always develop a better program for Wifi management? ;)

I have several wireless networks around throughout the day. I have had any issues. At work, when I walk into the building, it connects to the network I originally connected to (open network) and when I pull into my driveway, it connects to my home network (wep enabled) with no problem.

I soft of have to agree here, but ONLY because the Hotspot thing is giving me issues. Sometimes i have to reboot the phone, just to connect. Not good.

Actually wifi consumes too much power (same with iphone). So I have wifi off most of the time even I am around some hotspots. I find 3G speed adequate in most situations.
