Root Wifi stays on for 10 seconds before turning off.

Epik Envy

Lurker
Ever since I rooted my phone and Installed Cyanogenmod 7, I keep having an issue where I cannot get my phone to connect to wifi, let alone stay on. I turn it on, it lasts 10 or so seconds, then turns itself with no warning what so ever. And now, for some reason, launching the MetroPCS EasyWifi app causes it to instantly crash. Any other wifi apps, IE WifiBuddy, ect, turn on wifi, but if I hit scan nothing shows up and wifi turns itself off. I don't even get a notification in the statusbar about wifi being on. Any help?

You skipped out on formatting everthing after wiping everything didnt you? :D

Reflash and after you wipe everything go to mounts and storage and format everything except the sd card. Sd ext is okay but not the sd card. It will wipe everything off your card if you do.

You did reflash the rom right? After formatting? If you did pull the battery and reboot. If not youre gonna have to take your sd card out put it in your comp and put cm7 and the gapps on it format and wipe everything then flash cm7 and the gapps

Theres no need to revert to stock. Just Format and wipe everything THEN flash CM7 and the gapps. But once again just as a reminder do NOT format the sd card or youll lose everything on it and have to start over again.

Ok, got it to work, but any way to make it so the button on the far right doesn't turn the screen off, just goes back home?
