Verizon: I've read several posts about the *#0011# trick for wifi power saver mode. I was under the impression that once this was turned off the wifi would stay on. Example: when I get home I turn wifi on. I'll set my phone down and check it about 20-30 minutes later and notice that 4G has turned back on then immediately connects back to wifi. Sorry if this has been covered but I didn't see this exact instance. Thanks in advance.

Help Wifi switching back to 4G when phone is asleep

I want to say I did that but I'll report back tomorrow.
One thing, why would I not want this set to always? The other two options say "only when plugged in" and the other says "Never" (increases data usage). So by "Never" saying "increases data usage", does that mean if you have wifi on but have "Never" checked, when your phone goes to sleep it gets no data connection at all which would mean it's constantly searching for data thus using battery? Or does it mean it switches back to 4G when the phone is sleeping, which it looks like mine was doing. I just don't get why this is even something that needs to be an option. Thanks for the help!

Never means that when the phone is not plugged in, it will switch from WiFi to 4G/3G when the phone goes to sleep.
