Root WiFi Tether App Not Working HELP PLEASE!!!!

i am using a smoked glass ROM on 2.0.1 droid. when i open the app everything is fine because im rooted but when i tap the wifi signal picture, it says please wait and then please check log for errors and when i do that it says

"Config WiFi Interface...
Error reading firmware image /system/
ect/wifi/Fw1251r1c.bin - Aborting...
Set property wlan.driver.status = failed -
ok
Failed"

and then this one too

"Loading wlan.ko module...
insmod: cant open'/system/lib/
modules/wlan.ko
failed"

Is there something I'm doing wrong because i think i might not have a compatible ROM or something, can you please help he out?

P.S can you wifi tether to an ipod touch from a droid?

Perhaps if you asked in the root forum you'd get a faster answer
Make a back up of your current rom, flash a different room and see what happens, sounds like the rom your using doesn't have the correct kernel.

1. Why are you running such an old ROM?

2. You need a kernal compatible with wifi tethering to use it.

I only got into the root game recently so I can't help you on such an old ROM. There's a wide selection of kernals for all the current 2.1 based ROMs (CyanogenMod, Bugless Beast, Ultimate Droid *shudder* etc) which all support wifi tethering.

You can only tether your Ipod Touch to your Droid if it supports ad hoc wireless connections.

Try Barnacle (on the market). Its a wireless tether app that just needs root (no special kernels). Its worked good for me so far.
