Root Wifi Tether Mode

Those running the D4 rooted/custom roms:

Does the device broadcast its WiFi tether signal in ad-hoc mode or infrastructure mode? Some wifi-only devices (the Kindle Fire, for example) do not readily connect to ad-hoc, while some mobile-data devices (the OG Droid/Sholes, for example) ONLY broadcast in ad-hoc.

This phone would be a great option for me to upgrade to, but only if the wifi tether broadcasts in infrastructure mode.

(That is basically a hardware-related question... and if you don't actually know the difference between ad-hoc and infrastructure modes, please don't clutter the responses.)

infrastructure

NICE, so anything can hook up to the internet through it's signal, PS3 etc etc right? :)

Might have to download the Eclipse custom rom, it's the only one I see but it looks good - supposed to be Ice Cream Sandwich early from what I understand, with screen shot and err' thing.
