Root WiFi Tether not working

Hi all,

I recently rooted with CM 7.2 and can't get WiFi tether to work. At first I read to set Device-Profile to Generic ICS/JB (wlan0), but the SSID wasn't even showing up. Then I changed it back to Generic, and now the SSID shows and the signal is excellent, but when I connect, I get no network access. I tried disabling encryption and access control.

Any thoughts?

What are you trying to connect to it with? Some devices don't like ad-hoc wireless connections.
As long as it isn't violating your terms of service, you should try Barnacle. Simple and straight forward. Works for most people.
My Nexus 7 wont connect with most tethering apps, but this one works well in "Hotspot" mode.
