Root Wifi tether problems

Lately I have noticed that my wifi tether app seems to have issues. I can connect my computer to my phone but after a few minutes (less than 5) I can't seem to load web pages. I don't have this issue when I connect to other wireless networks on my computer so I don't think the issue is with my computer

Do you have wifi set to sleep policy: never?

Or a widget to keep the screen on so that wifi doesn't lose connectivity when the phone sleeps (screen turns off)

Odd thing about that is that I never had to change that setting and I never had problems. I just changed it though so I shall see how this goes

You could also go into... SETTINGS-APPLICATIONS-DEVELOPMENT... And click the "Stay Awake" box...

assuming you keep your phone plugged in when tethering.... who doesn't:confused:... lol...
