Didn't seem to work for me either. Did restart after installing it too.

What version are you using of WiFi Tether? The latest beta?

Also, can you list all the other settings of WiFi tether you have?

Thanks!

It's just Wi-Fi tether from the play store. Idk what version.
Edit:

This is the version I have from the play store

One thing I've noticed is that I can't see AndroidTether on my nexus 7, but it shows up on my gf's ipad as a device instead of a network. If I try to connect to it it wants a password even though I haven't set one and says "Are you sure you want to connect even though this device isn't connected to the internet?'

Well that's weird because the same problem happened to me, when I first installed it we were connecting my brothers iPhone and showed up as a device that asked for a password, I tried setting a password but still didn't work, also turned on access control. Turned off password and restarted my phone and all was fine.

Your dropbox link didn't work, but I tried it from the play store and it works great.

Thanks.

For everyone's information though, it costs $2.50 from the store.

It makes sense that the carriers want to discourage tethering, but I bet only the really big ones can afford to have that feature removed from the phones. My carrier offers tethering as an extra charge for those who don't know they already have it. I'm sure they make a few bucks with that trick.
