Help Wifi Tethering Hotspot gives Limited Connectivity

LuckyStar

Newbie
Since a while, can't remember if before/after upgrading from Gingerbread to ICS, the computer (Windows 7) cannot access the Internet anymore, using Wifi Hotspot/Tethering.

A connection is established correctly to the phone, however the computer will show as Limited Connectivity.
I have tried to:
- run network troubleshooter on the pc
- reboot
- reset the wirless adapter on the pc (works correctly with my wifi modem/router)
- delete/recreate the connection in Windows
- configure the connection with no security (unprotected)

Apparently there are no bugs in ICS..... any hint?

it could be several things such as there could be something wrong with the phone, try changing the ssid name and initially connect open (without security). let us know how it goes.

ok. go into networking and sharing centre, manage wireless networks, remove the network name and try joining again. also, make sure there is no fixed ip address configured on the wireless adapter of your pc. it still could sevral other things that are causing.
