Root Wifi tethering (root)?

I'm trying to find a way to tether my root my Elite. I've rooted it and am using Sleipnir, but Wifi tethering apps don't seem to work for me. First I tried searching for Wifi Tether of Rooted Users, but it looks like it's been removed from the Play Store.

I've tried using Barnacle Wifi tethering app, and it doesn't do anything. I've also tried Open Garden, but for whatever reason I cannot get my Elite to connect to my laptop via Bluetooth, which the app requires (It says it's "paired but not connected"). I'm afraid of playing around with too many apps because of reports that the wifi tethering can mess up your 3G.

Any advice?

The link doesn't work, but if that's to the wifi tether for rooted users, it doesn't seem to be working for my phone. I wonder if I need to reflash or something.
