Seems to work just fine. Phone is definitely"confused"by it. When I pull down the hotspot notification the phone doesn't indicate that wifi tethering is active, but I had a friends connect and lad a webpage on his iPhone. Had to reopen the foxfi app from the drawer to stop the hotspot. Never got the message about contracting Verizon sever to check for subscription. Next step is to see if I don't get charged.

I only used it for a few minutes and it doesn't seen to be using any battery otherwise.

It worked great. Of course, I'm a casual user. I didn't try streaming Netflix or anything like that.

I used it recently with my daughter's nook tablet at a family birthday party. I didn't want to ask the host for their wifi information so I used foxfi. She was able to stream netflix to her nook tablet without any problems and my 4G service was pretty spotty at the time.
