Wifi texting with internal contacts

My 8 year old has a Galaxy tab 2 10.1 with no data. I have just a agreed to let him have a text app, but I'd like for it to have its own contact list, not pull from my Google contacts. Right now, he texts me from Text Now and it shows up as "me"on his app, not mom. MY mom would show as "mom". I am logged in on his tablet to manage apps etc and don't want that to change. Any ideas?

What I did was set up a group for my kid and set my contacts to not sync that group on my phone, but sync only that group on the tablet.
 
Oh, good idea. I have his set now to not sync at all and that's working fine. I don't want him getting my emails or anything either.
