Is there any way to be able to text through WiFi when there is no cell service, preferably while still using my original number? (Not text plus)

This isn't exactly what I was looking for but it could be useful when I'm tethering. I was looking for a way to send/receive text messages with no service using only WiFi. Where I live I have crap service but I have WiFi... Thank you anyway.

Most text through Wi-Fi apps use a dummy phone number not an existing one. Google voice would be your best option imho
