Help Wifi turning on by itself

Strange problem...the wifi on my slider keeps turning on by itself. I'll notice my battery has drained, and then I see the wifi has been on. I did have the beautiful widgets wifi widget on there, but I took it off to narrow down the problem - it's still doing it. Any ideas/solutions? Thanks.

Any other apps running or installed that could trigger it? Sometimes a reboot can fix glitches, or leaving it off with battery out for a few minutes.
