Help wifi turns off when screen turns on

A lot of times, when I download things that will take longer than a few minutes, my screen will timeout and shut off. When I turn my screen back on , the WiFi will start up again and connect, failing anything that I'm downloading.

Is there a setting out something that will keep my Wi-Fi on no matter what? It's really frustrating me every time it occurs.

Go to settings and tap on WiFi, then tap on the 3 dots you see in the top right hand corner and then tap on advanced and you will then be able to see the setting that allows you to choose between WiFi always on or not.
