Help WiFi won't authenticate (I think that's the problem)

OK so I'm at the hospital and they have open WiFi. I can connect OK but my WiFi icon stays gray and not a lot of things work as far as internet goes. Chrome doesn't work nether does YouTube or Netflix. But dolphin browser sorta works. Facebook and yapatalk work... Any ideas how to fix it?

Is the tablet's time set correctly? I recently got a Win8 tablet and had all kids of problems because the time was way off so security certificates where therefore invalid.

Now someone can suggest a proper solution. :)

Yeah I searched around the web a bit but I couldn't find any real info about it :( I think they may be blocking YouTube but it still doesn't explain why my WiFi icon isn't blue

Chances are, if it only affects you at the hospital, it's most likely that they either have some sort of configuration issue, faulty equipment, or they haven't rebooted their equipment in quite a long time. Might be worth checking with the hospital's IT department to see what they can do

Edit: disregard my post. Didn't see that you mentioned you had no issues with laptop and phone lol

OK thanks maybe I'll have to get a hold of the it dept. O well we should be going home tomorrow and I can just tether from my phone anyways. Thanks all!
