Help WiFI won't Connect

I've had my FT3 6 months and WiFi has never been a problem. Starting today, it scans for WiFi but will not connect, even though my network is recognized. I'm running Tim's 5a.

Since it worked fine up until today, I suspect a hardware problem, but does anyone have any reson to think that reflashing 5a might resolve the problem? Or any other ideas?

Reflash could help. The fact is still scanning is a sign of hope because hardware is still being seen. You could try Wifi Fixer,. If it s a problem with the sfotware end it should work, if it is a driver then a reflash.

WiFi connection started working again without my doing anything! Who knows what evil lurks in the mind of an electron? However, at Rabid's suggestion, I installed WiFi Fixer and am experiencing fewer WiFi dropouts. Thanks Rabid.

Perhaps a competing router on your channel? Wifi analyser Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! will show you what your neighbours (UK spelling) are transmitting on....

Thanks for that dart. Coulda been missing the obvious. I was having issue recently with my Skypad and when I popped this in I found 2 new routers that I am picking up nearby on the same channel that the normal scan could not see. Since they both were unsecured I was tempted just to log into them and set them at fixed channels instead of auto scan. But that wouldn't have been nice.

HAHA. My ISP had both the main router and the switch still using the default factory admin/admin passwords. I actually bounced cards and restarted the router when we were down on the weekends a couple of times. Last week they actually hired a guy who knew what he was doing and he reset everything. Not complaining thought we have much better UL/DL speeds now.
