Hi all,

Android4.4 have the WPS setup in hotspot settings. But in Android 6 Hotspot settings WPS option is not there. I want to know the Android6 AOSP have the WPS support in hotspot mode or not.?

It doesn't, because it turned out that WPS is insecure, and can be brute-force attacked very easily. If anyone has a router that's still using WPS, it's very strongly recommended to disable it.

You could find a complete stranger is using your phone hotspot and wireless data without you even realising it, WPS is that bad.

My Android Version : 6.0.1. I want the application for wps,by using this application my android phone working as a server or wifi provider or master or router.

My phone is 6.0.1 Marshmallow as well, and with 6.0.1 you can have WPA PSK, WPA2 PSK, or None, but that is NOT recommended for a hotspot.

And besides no WPS, there's no WEP either, because that security was also deprecated as being insecure.

Any reason why you can't use WPA or WPA2, have you got something that's really old that you want to tether?
