I have rooted an My Touch 3g, and down loaded the wireless tether. My issue is i'm unable to connect to my computer. The computer as well as phone says im connected but still get the 'no connection page'.
Be I go further, I have not purchased any plan. Could this be the reason?

Have you set up a new connection on the computer side? If you have win 7 open networks and sharing center. Play with the buttons a little and it is pretty simple. As far as a plan goes, you do have internet capabilities or else you couldn't've downloaded the app. If you haven't purchased a data plan, you need to because the cost per use will break you.
