Hi

My samsung wifi is not scanning. When turned on it says cant scan network and switch off.
Any clue as to what to do?
 
ok when was the last time you tried to scan for wifi signal?
have you recently reseated the battery?
and what carrier are you with?
 
im guessing this phone is in the UK

ok have you removed the battery yet? if so do that, wait 15 seconds, put it back in and try your wifi again.

is it just not holding onto the signal? or is it disconnecting a lot? and are you sure there is reliable wifi around?
 
Sure there is wi-fi around. It definitely has to be something with the phone setting but don't know. I checked using Galaxy mini yesterday and that picked signals at the stage this show message "unable to scan network"
 
Hi there, welcome aboard.

Wi-Fi issues are what I call the unknown. Why? Sometimes it just stop working without any known cause. Most times it will start working as if nothing had happened. Resetting the device or rebooting the router usually fixes this problem for me.

Also, you should check inside your device's support forum for some assistance with this problem.

if you remove the battery, and wait 15 seconds, and then put it back, 9 times out of 10 it will start working again, try that and see if it works
