WiFi

Lurker
Hi my name is John and I recently purchased the new Samsung Galaxy S3. I previously owned the iPhone 4.
I like the screen size of the S3 and I am learning about the features of the smartphone. But I am having a problem with the S3 in regard to the WiFi system. For some reason I keep losing my WiFi connection when I am in my house which has a WiFi signal.
When I am in the house I have a connection. When I leave and then return, I am no longer connected? I have to reset the signal by either activating the WiFi in the pull-down menu or in the general settings.
Why is this happening?

Welcome to the site jlmgm36 :)

Hopefully i can try and assist you with the issue you are having.

If you are using the standard Wifi settings it should automatically connect to your Wifi if you have saved the name of it, which it automatically does when you connect the first time to the signal. So when you leave your house it should disconnect and when you come back in it should automatically reconnect.

Have you thought about restarting you router. While you are letting that reset hard reboot your phone by removing the battery and restarting it. See if this solves the issue.

If not does your router provide a decent strength of signal, if anything could you give me the name/brand/model of the Router and i can look into it further.

Thanks! :D
