Root Wildfire S Problems

Yaqubk

Lurker
Hi, I currently have a rooted Wildfire s, i followed the tutorial on this forum and it went smoothly.

Superuser updated fine and everything was working fine. I dont switch my phone off and say by the next morning if I try use an app that requires SU it doesn't work, it says "cannot gain root access" which is very annoying, as it works for a while then stops. Ive tried many things such as clearing superuser data and restarting phone etc. I fixed permissions in recovery but that just messed my phone up as when i loaded it up it sais "System UID's are inconsistent, please wipe your data partition" and no apps were working so i had to do a factory reset through recovery.

Although, i went into recovery once and rebooted from there and superuser started working again but then just stopped after like a day. I dont know what the problem is and it is really getting on my nerves now! If someone could please help me as this is the 4th time ive reset my phone.

I had link2sd installed and have a second partition on my sd card, but i dont see how that could be the problem. Please help.

I now have reinstalled my apps and such after a reset, superuser still fails to work and my phone is definitely rooted, as it says it in superuser. Superuser itself cant gain root access to update. It was working fine, i dont know whats happened.

Any app that requires superuser, even superuser itself now says "Activity superuse Request (in application superuser) is not responding.

then i have the 3 options of Force close Wait and Report

I press force close and it just restarts superuser but nothing happens.

Yaqubk, welcome to Android Forums :hello:

I'm going to move your thread into the All Things Root section so it will draw more attention from folks familiar with rooting. Hope that helps!
