Apps Will android studio works on windows server 2008 R2 startdard

Hi All

my system installed windows server 2008 R2 Standard OS.
i tried to install android studio. it got installed but some of the plugins not able to install. is because of OS?
kindly let me know is android studio and plugin install and work properly to develop android applications.
am i able to work with this OS. or do i need to re install window 7/8.

I reinstall with proxy setting. it works now. installed android studio successfully
