will heart rate function still work if I root my S5 and change ROM's?

Title says it all. Just want to make sure because it's the one Samsung bloat-app that I like.

Unless the ROM is built on the Samsung stock ROM, them my guess would be no. Samsung has a habit of not making TouchWiz features available to non-TouchWiz devices, even if it is Samsung hardware.
