I have a rooted LG shine plus. Assuming I un-rooted my phone and reset it to factory settings, would I be able to update to 2.3 (If it EVER comes out, which it probably won't... ) without having to flash the stock firmware?
Here's the catch. Back when I first rooted it, I was stupid enough to remove a few of the unneeded google apps (google talk etc..) with titanium backup to try and gain some much-needed free space. This caused many other apps such as the market to become unusable. I managed to re-install a few .apk's of the google apps I was missing, and though the re-installed apps themselves no longer function, it allowed the market to work for the most part without any problems. (and no, I could not restore the missing apps with titanium backup)
So my question is, would I be able to use the lg mobile update tool to update to any possible (but unlikely) new firmware with the kind of/sort of broken situation I have created with my stock firmware? or will I have to re-flash the stock rom and risk bricking my phone in order to update?
