Help Will JB 4.2.2 OTA update come to this phone?

Given the phone is now two generations out of date, I would guess it's not top of Samsung's priority list .. I wouldn't hold your breath.

I'm keeping an eye on SamMobile and their firmware update section just in case they do give us the 4.2.2 update or any other updates to the 4.1.2 Jellybean version. I'd really like them to do something about that battery monitor bug that makes it look like you've lost anywhere from 2% to 4% of power when you unplug at 100%. It doesn't happen all the time but it is pretty annoying.

I haven't really seen any OTA updates since I had my phone they all were through Kies and after I learned of the invention called Odin used it primarily for updates. Seems that OTA for the GS2 is simply not a priority.

Even so newer is never better.Keep in mind the higher your os faster battery drains regardless of rom or settings as it requires more consumptions to use new features especially 4g connections
