Will my S3 output to a 720p projector, or only to a 1080p??

Very simple question really. I have an Acer K330 projector which i use as my main TV/display etc. It runs at 1280x800 (effectively 720p).

I heard someone on Youtube say that with the correct cables the Samsung Galaxy S3 can be hooked up via HDMI to a HDTV/display, but that it only works on 1080p displays, is this true?

In a nutshell, with this adapter...(cant show link as its my first post, but this is the description)

'Micro USB 5 to 11 Pin HDMI HDTV MHL Adapter for Samsung i9300 Galaxy S3'

...and a HDMI cable will my 720p Acer K330 work as an external mirrored display?

Mate my understanding is that if your pumping in 1080p what you get at the other end is relative to what your projector supports, if that's 720p then guess what....

Most projectors will up or down the size automatically. Should have a list of sizes it supports and such in the documentation.
